Fresh out of college and eager to see the world, I found myself in Uganda, working amongst some of the most talented and inspiring women I had ever met. I watched for hours as these master artisans handcrafted goods with a skill and grace I had never seen before. Completely mesmerized, I quickly realized how much I wanted to be a part of this world. - Linden Baker (Founder & CEO)

Linden Baker is the Founder and CEO of Fairkind. Since 2014, she’s been working closely with Artisans from all around the globe. This experience and expertise gained throughout the years inspired her to create a company that does more for these Artisans and the goods they create. She founded Fairkind in 2016, and quickly began featuring and distributing the collections and creations of these talented artisan groups and partners, all while providing them with a fair trade work environment.

After getting started in the B2B space, Linden launched Fairkind’s online store in 2020 to bring these handcrafted goods directly to consumers. In 2022, Linden was recognized on the Forty Under 40 list by Utah Business, highlighting her world-changing work.

Meet Fairkind

Inspired by the craftsmanship, care, and tradition that goes into the creation of  handcrafted goods, we built Fairkind to mirror and embody these values. We exist  to give back to the artisan, create opportunity for the individuals who deserve it most, and provide high-quality, handmade goods to individuals everywhere.

Fairkind has partnered with master artisans in countries like Uganda, Tunisia, and Peru to combine traditional craft methods, locally-sourced materials, and contemporary designs to bring luxury handmade goods into your home.

Our mission, since our founding in 2016,  is to support artisans while honoring their craft. We do this by employing artisans at fair trade standards, meaning they're paid a fair wage and have a safe and healthy work environment. Over the years, Fairkind has provided work for more than 3,000 artisans around the world, who are each paid premium prices for their skills. Together, they create exclusive handmade goods that make a positive, powerful impact.
